Blending the original piece with new elements, adapting to ragtime, and performing multiple times
I wrote this piece between November 2022, and February 2023. I have long enjoyed playing ragtime, specifically arrangements by Nexus legend Bob Becker, and repertoire staples by George Hamilton Green. The piece opens with a marimba chorale, a 1 to 1 translation of the first themes of Clair De Lune, before transitioning into something familiar yet very different.
